Mind Travels

About

Born in 1949

 Mother of two.

Grandmother of three.

Life is a journey and the mind is the conduit which we pass through to get from one end to the other. If the passage is blocked we stagnate and the journey is halted as we falter in a black abyss of denial. It is up to us to open the tunnel or find another path to reach our destinations of self discovery and an all encompassing life. To know and love the simplest of life is to appreciate the complexities of life in it’s fullest. To question, to think freely, to knock down the walls of hate and destruction that tries to imprison us as individuals and a society is the duty we have to ourselves and the world we live in.

Dawning

I am but a shadow at the edge of time,
the bull frog chorus gives way,
to the wakening bird song.
all is gray, no black, no white,
what is right can also be wrong
as the mist reaches for the dark.
The mind sees what the eyes do not
as the night greets the morning light.

The morning star dims awaiting the sun,
every breath mingles with the mist,
as day’s glow slowly advances,
righteous and the evil they grab, they test,
the eyes see so many chances,
of life’s delicacies which is best?
The mind sees what the eyes do not
as the night greets the morning light.

I am a shadow at the edge of time
standing tall in the mist of day
stretching to embrace life’s wonders
as the day before me begins to rise
not for pillage nor for plunder
but a path to choose and optimize.
The mind sees what the eyes do not
as the night greets the morning light.
