One Minute of Time Can Make a Difference

It will only cost you a minute and a click of your mouse to cast a vote that will make a big difference to some inner city kids.   Won’t you please take that minute and help?

Sears Unsung Heroes,  dads making a difference,   a national contest will be rewarding $30,000 plus $3000 in tools to the winner.     Charles Muller from Rensselaer, N.Y. has spent years helping needy children in Albany N.Y..    Here is an exert from the nominating essay written by his son:

“My dad knew there were also children living on the south side of the city that were hungry, so he built a bigger center that would not only feed children, but help clothe, mentor and tutor them.”                                     Read full text here.

    Thanks for stopping by Kevin! I hope all is well with you. Charles Muller won the Sears Contest! He is one of our local heroes for sure. The good pastor doesn’t preach your ear off but gets out and does something and encourages others to do the same. He has put real meaning behind that old saying, “Actions speak louder then words.”

  3. The “Doers” rarely seek recognition, doing the right thing in their minds is the reward. That’s why the recipients of these awards are always so surprised when people show their appreciation of their efforts.

    Fight the good fight, its the journey that counts, not the destination!

    Listening to WWOZ fm NOLA and I’m amazed at the spirit of that battered city. Truly inspiring!
