Katrina to Gustav, Not a Piece of Cake.

September 1, 2008 · 2 Comments

We all wait in dread and anticipation of hurricane Gustav and the potential destruction it may cause especially in areas that have still not recovered from Katrina 3 years ago. Gas prices will rise but the individual lives of those living in effected areas is what matters most.  My heart goes out to each and everyone.

The government seems to have learned a lesson in preparation for a natural disaster of this kind, even though they still neglect and mismanage the catastrophe of the lasting on-going problems of Katrina.

John McCain may be delaying his campaign and voicing concern for the people now in Gustav’s path but I still picture his blatant disregard for the victims of Katrina 3 years ago and since then as he has voted against most help for the people and cities devastated by Katrina. Does he think we and those miss-placed, disabled and killed by Katrina will forget how he, Bush and the Republicans reacted and still react to Katrina victims?   May your cake fall John McCain!

Bless those volunteers across this great country that STILL care and will always be ready to help those in need, not because of public opinion, but because it is the right thing to do and comes from real caring and souls united in the beliefs of helping mankind.  Little is said about the volunteers who STILL travel thousands of miles even now to assist those hurt by katrina, helping them to rebuild homes and their lives.   The media says little if anything of this, but screams the picture of a caring McCain in the probability of another natural disaster.   Again McCain underestimates the average American’s intelligence.

Positive thoughts,  love and hope to my neighbors down south!

Peace!
