Spring Arrival
March 27, 2008 by maryblu
Cool crisp, the sun’s beginning to wake,
the skyway’s splattered with returning gulls,
the pond across the way already is claimed,
by more geese then there is water,
squirrels chatter, and frolic looking for buried treasure,
rata tat tat , old woody seeking a fresh meal
sparrows flitter, and a cardinal calls to his mate
as frosty gems glitter on tips of brown grass
and I wallow in all the splendor.
nice poem, although I think autumn is MY favourite season of the year …. the winds, the gentle breezes, the warm calming down ….
I like all the naturalistic scenes. :).
March came in like a lion and went out the same way, we are still awaiting the lamb.
April is having its shower and I hope she she doesn’t get soap in her eyes cause Spring is on the lam.
Not as good as yours but its the best I can do in this moment. ha ha
